Ocean Springs Cats

Siam and Feather have a wonderful new home in Ocean Springs waiting for them - but they need help getting there! These beautiful young cats were taken from the Benton Animal Shelter in Summer 2009, when they were scheduled to be euthanized due to massive overcrowding.

Siam, aka "Puppy Kitty", is most likely a Ragdoll mix, as he fits the breed and is very tame and friendly. Feather is solid white with intense blue eyes. She looks like a Turkish Angora breed, with medium length silky hair and a super affectionate personality. Feather is totally deaf, but otherwise a perfectly normal kitty. She has no reaction to loud noises, and she sleeps so soundly that nothing (aside from touching her) will wake her up.

Siam and Feather were in separate cages in the shelter, but they bonded immediately - and are NEVER far apart. They lay together and groom each other constantly. Even as this is written, they are laying in the window sill, head to head, sleeping together.

FuRR is raising money to get these wonderful, lucky cats to their new loving home on the Gulf coast. You Can click on chipin to help this happen!

Bringing Arizona Home

FuRR has been lucky enough to be involved in a very special rescue, which is really a love story! We have a chip-in/PayPal account where we are trying to raise funds to pay for Arizona's kill-shelter pull fee, testing, health certificate, vaccinations, spay and other medical treatment, and travel costs, including the last minute need to rent a car for the kind people who, sight unseen, offered to drive Arizona, who is now Freya, halfway to Little Rock to meet us in Tupelo, MS on July 12, 2010. If, after reading her story, you are moved to donate, You Can click on teamfurr2.chipin.com or mail to FuRR at PO 250567, LR, AR 72225. Either way, click here to learn how so many pulled together to save the life of a small green-eyed black cat!
